Board Foot란?
1 board foot는 144세제곱인치에 해당하는 목재 부피입니다. 두께 1인치의 1 ft² 면적, 또는 1/12 세제곱피트로도 생각할 수 있습니다.
대부분의 목재는 “1×, 2×” 명목 치수로 판매되지만 대패질 후 실제 치수는 약간 더 작아지므로, 많은 계산에서 실제 두께와 너비를 사용합니다.

The Basic Formula
BF = (T × W × L) ÷ 12
T = Thickness in inches

Why Divide by 12?
One board foot equals 144 cubic inches (12″ × 12″ × 1″). When we multiply thickness (inches) × width (inches) × length (feet), we get a result in "inch²-feet". Dividing by 12 converts this to board feet, the standard unit for lumber volume.
